There is an inherent risk of exposure to Covid in any public settings where people are present. Covid is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death, and there is no guarantee, express or implied, that you will not be exposed to Covid at the Redwood Ramble. According to the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”), older adults and all people with underlying medical conditions may be at higher risk. Please evaluate your risk as you decide to attend the event.
By attending the Redwood Ramble, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to Covid and agree to follow health and safety policies as prescribed while attending the event.
Do NOT attend the Ramble if:
- You have any symptoms commonly associated with Covid. As has been well publicized, testing is a useful tool in the fight against Covid, but it’s far from perfect. Also, note that many people don’t test positive for Covid until 2 or more days after the onset of symptoms.
- You have tested positive for Covid in the past 10 days. While CDC guidelines state that a person can leave isolation 5 days after testing positive for Covid if they have no or improving symptoms and wear a mask for the next 5 days, those guidelines certainly don’t contemplate prolonged and consistent public interaction like at the Ramble. So, 10 days is the absolute minimum amount of time that needs to pass after a positive test before you arrive at the event.
In addition, the following Covid related requirements will be STRICTLY ENFORCED:
- For Vaccinated Individuals – As a condition of entry you will be required to show proof of vaccination in the form of 1) your paper vaccination card, or 2) a photo of your paper vaccination card or 3) screenshot or download of your digital vaccination record from https://myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov/. Make sure that you have the information ready to go in advance and do not depend on connecting to the Internet at Camp Navarro to retrieve it. We also strongly urge all vaccinated attendees to take Covid tests prior arrival. Ideally you will take a rapid or PCR test three days prior to your departure for the Ramble and a rapid test the day of your departure. At a minimum, be sure to take the pre-departure rapid test. Also, if you present a photo of yourself holding your negative pre-departure rapid test when you arrive, it will earn you a “Vaxxed and Tested” sticker so everyone will know that you are a person who cares about the health and safety of the Ramble community. Please don’t be “that person” who brought Covid to the Ramble when it could have been avoided by testing!
- For Unvaccinated Individuals – As a condition of entry you will be required to present a negative result from a PCR Covid test taken no more than 72 hours prior to arrival as well as a negative rapid test taken on the day of arrival. You are required to bring a photo of yourself holding your pre-departure rapid test with the result clearly visible to present at Check-In along with the result from your previously completed PCR test.
Cheating – If at any time (at the event or afterwards through the grapevine) we become aware that you provided false documentation of vaccination status or test results, in addition to being publicly shamed and booted from the event, you will also be banned from attending any future Camp Navarro events. And, even if we never find out, Karma will certainly settle the score.
Please Limit Your Pre-Event Exposure! – We urge you to make common-sense decisions and limit potential exposures in the weeks prior to your arrival at the Ramble.
Testing During the Event – Please bring extra rapid tests with you and test immediately if you experience any symptoms commonly associated with Covid.
Masking – It’s a well-known fact that masking helps limit the transmission of Covid. We encourage you to have a mask with you at all times. Please use it when indoors, including and especially in the bathrooms, as well as any time you find yourself in a crowded environment where you don’t have at least a few feet between you and others, such as dancing in front of the stage or close in at the Campfire Jam. Why take the risk when you can just pull up your mask for a while?
Refunds Available for Infected Individuals – If you do not attend because you tested positive for Covid, you will receive a full refund and so will your family members who choose not to attend due to their potential exposure. In order to be eligible for a refund, you will need to send us a photo of yourself holding your positive rapid test or the results from your PCR test prior to your arrival at the event, but no later than Friday at 1pm. Please email the information to email@example.com. Note that refunds will not be issued to people testing positive at or after the event, so please be Covid cautious while you are at the event!
Lastly, now is a great time to get a booster!
Thanks for working with us during these challenging times as we strive to have fun and stay safe!
