Covid Policies & Requirements
There is an inherent risk of exposure to Covid in any public settings where people are present. Covid is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death, and there is no guarantee, express or implied, that you will not be exposed to Covid at the Redwood Ramble. According to the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”), older adults and all people with underlying medical conditions may be at higher risk. Please evaluate your risk as you decide to attend the event.
By attending the Redwood Ramble, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to Covid and agree to follow health and safety policies as prescribed while attending the event.
Do NOT attend the Ramble if:
- You have any symptoms commonly associated with Covid. As has been well publicized, testing is a useful tool in the fight against Covid, but it’s far from perfect. Also, note that many people don’t test positive for Covid until 2 or more days after the onset of symptoms.
- You have tested positive for Covid in the past 10 days. While CDC guidelines state that a person can leave isolation 5 days after testing positive for Covid if they have no or improving symptoms and wear a mask for the next 5 days, those guidelines certainly don’t contemplate prolonged and consistent public interaction like at the Ramble. So, 10 days is the absolute minimum amount of time that needs to pass after a positive test before you arrive at the event.
Please Limit Your Pre-Event Exposure! – We urge you to make common-sense decisions and limit potential exposures in the weeks prior to your arrival at the Ramble. There will be no refunds issued due to Covid, so please keep that in mind!
Testing During the Event – Please bring extra rapid tests with you and test immediately if you experience any symptoms commonly associated with Covid.
Lastly, now is a great time to get a booster!
Thanks for working with us during these challenging times as we strive to have fun and stay safe!
